|
|
Hello,
I've been researching the forum about replacement valve springs for Kanstul trumpets, since Kanstul factory closed a few years ago.
I've seen people recommending Benge springs (available at Mouthpiece Express website) and Yamaha springs (available in many other places).
The horn that needs these springs is a Kanstul 700 trumpet.
What would be closest to the original springs, in fit and feel?
Thank you! |

Contact BAC Musical Instruments. They bought Kanstul's tooling and many parts in stock.
You might also try Mouthpiece Express. They sell many repair parts on their website. _________________ --Matt--

I read somewhere that B.A.C. sold their stock of Kanstul parts to Allied Music Supply (a Getzen company). Maybe they kept the valve springs, maybe not.
Allied doesn't sell to the public, but a dealer or repair shop can get parts from them for you. Who knows, maybe Brett will chime in. Or Charles Hargett. _________________ Brian A. Douglas

There is one reason that I practice: to be ready at the downbeat when the final trumpet sounds. |

Regular Yamaha springs work on Besson 709 as well as Besson 800 International (made by Kanstul) and are a little softer than stock Kanstul springs if you prefer that. Besson 709 is very close to Kanstul 700. |
