I wondered about that one too. I've asked him about the model number. We'll see what kind of reply he gives. _________________ John Haysom

Let us know how it goes.... I could be wrong. I do know that offering to end early in your add on Ebay may anger the ebay gods, for sure. Kind of blatantly foolish. kpb _________________ Conn 6B

I sent the seller an email asking about condition and model number.... Here's the reply. I share this as I think dealing with these folks is too risky and have no interest in doing so. Anyone else...go for it.

I don't know what it is about Canada/UK location, but almost all the scam horns seem to have sellers who operate from these countries. Any idea why? kpb |

Scandalous alright! Wonder where he got the pics though! They seem legit. More than likely the auction will get pulled with his "ending the auction early" bit.
I'm gonna hold off on my $1,000,000 bid for now ... but maybe later perhaps!

I sent them an email offering $750 and asking to meet up and pay cash. I got the stock "I am in London" email. So I sent one back saying that's fine as I live near London (which I do). This is what I got back:
"I don't know where you can come and be good for you? But let`s wait the auction to run ,we don't know the exact price for this trumpet. Wait your e-mail."
Hmmm Interesting. |

LOL!!
Well, I offered $750 but once I spoke about meeting up in London, he cooled off and said the price was too low. I asked how much he wanted, he said $1100.
What a scam!! |

Amazing how the reverse economics work sometimes. We automatically no its a scam if he accepts a low ball figure like $650-$750, but would accept it more if he accepts in the $1000 range. I wonder how much money he wants to make total off of everyone.
I'll go ahead and email him back and offer $750 if he can rush shipping and let him know that I'll get his money out today if possible ASAP!!

Joshua, why don't you tell the guy that you know Ron, and that Ron can pick up the horn and deliver the $650 for you. Meet at Richard's brother's house.
he's b.s. Same kind of e-mails I got from the guy selling Zeus for $1.
they steal pics from someone else's auction. that's so wrong. |

I'm sure it is a picture of a real horn .... it just isn't his horn .. or his "brother's horn" for that matter.
I'm not going to even bother with telling him I'll have someone pick it up for me ......
I'll just bid on it like an insane mad man!!!!!
MUHAHAHAHAHA!

I see someone placed a bid....There is an site address that ebay has which will allow reporting an auction that is in violation of ebay rules (end early if you offer enough), but when I try and go to it I get a page that says my "cookies" are not "enabled". WELL I BEG TO DIFFER!!! And, I checked, and they are all very enabled. If anyone else can get through, a report might get this dumped. Meanwhile I emailed the spoof@ebay.com address. The saga continues. |

Yours truly placed a bid in the amount of $1,000,000.00. Ebay should have some sort of filter that will put a red flag on this and more than likely investigate. It should correct itself in due time... bidding obscenely usually provides better results than trying to email the fraud department. _________________ Bb - Yamaha Xeno 8335RGS
