I got an e-mail announcing the new line-up. You have to e-mail Josh for more details.:

I already have their MV3C in a modern blank in gold. For the introductory price I was curious enough and ordered the 2+ this morning, which is based on their MV3C, to see what changed.
Maybe I’ll toss together a comparison video with straight ribbon mic source in different scenarios between the two and maybe a couple with some reverb when it comes in. I think the one I have versus this updated one will be the best comparison.

I got the ad, too. Not interested. This stuff has no ending, and my mouthpiece drawer is full enough of this mpc. chasing, as it is. At some point one just has to choose one and hit the shed. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

Heaven forefend! What would happen to the Worldwide Trumpet-Based Economy (WWT-BE)? Not as long as I have breath in my lungs and can keep driving my old 2004 Ranger pickup!
Of course those new mouthpiece prices are keeping up with the pickup monthly payments, it seems. And my mouthpiece safaris all seem to have to wait for the game to show up 8n the "used" section 9f the EBAY brass instrument parts list.....
Anyway the WWT-BE demands that I continue in the belief that all my problems will be fixed with one more piece of equipment that some other player didn't find Nirvana with. _________________ huntman10

To be honest, I’m a little lost when it comes to modern mouthpieces. There are so many choices, and it’s not getting easier with all the codes that are out there, and having new lines coming out regularly. I have little doubt they’re great mouthpieces, but I wouldn’t know which is which. _________________ 1975 Olds Recording trumpet

Another Monette / Lotus / AR style mouthpiece. I'm sure it'll be great, as their standard mouthpieces are also great. Will be interesting to see what folks think of them comparatively |

So Trent Austin did a you tube video.
I and others posted questions (mine was about depths of cups).
They actually refused to answer, told us to call the shop.

I have looked at their page and it seems like they are adding a lot of info (at least from what it looks like from when I looked yesterday). In full disclosure I play an ACB MV3C and have for quite some time. I have also pre-ordered a 2+. I am sure they'll add full technical details soon. Perhaps they asked for you to call as they might not want to share full details (guys Like Harelson and Monette don't seem too forthcoming as well).
I don't know but if a company asked and welcomed a phone conversation why not take them up on the offer? Seems a bit childish on your end based on the youtube replies I am reading you made. Josh and Laura have always been wonderful to talk to.

It was a sincere question. Trent got upset recently and said he would no longer post on TH. Just trying to save you some grief. If it's not welcomed then pardon me. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

I get the feeling that they've bitten off more than they can chew, in terms of response to customers. I'm very glad I'm not in their shoes.
The MV3c and MV3CS are what I'm playing. If they didn't work so well, I wouldn't be saying so. _________________ "Strive for tone." -John Coppola

And there you might have (the “Sherlock” response) one of multiple reasons why Trent / ACB gave up on this forum. I’ve only recently ventured back on here myself, I don’t know though….🤨

As I recall, it was some poster who had only recently signed onto TH who was writing all sorts of unsupported things about how all of ACB's horns are bad - the Doublers Line, the Manchester Brass line (in which the poster mistook Taiwan for China), even Schagerl - and was doing the whole "DEBATE ME BRO" shtick when other commenters were like "Dude, stop." _________________ 1932 King Silvertone cornet

I think you’re correct. But I also believe that a number of guys with credentials and credibility have left TH because of some of the nonsense.
But then here I am taking up space discussing the same thing, so I’ll shut up now.

So I actually ended up getting a TAZ+ instead and will be ordering the 2+ soon once I save up for it. The whole presentation was real nice. Cool box, nice card from Nate, some other small free gifts, and the piece which looks sweet! Especially that gold. The first playing impression is WOAH... the TAZ (not sure what that stands for?) is a small lead piece but sounds awesome in all the registers at least what I can do . I'm only good up do a double G but it's strong!
Anyone else get one?
