I’m looking to purchase just a lead pipe to do Adam lead pipe buzzing…
Does anyone know where I can purchase one? Main reason to use especially when I’m traveling and to use when I send out my horn for valve alignment etc…. Thank you !

EBay has lots of them. Depends if n how particular you are. You could even get a cheap trumpet and small propane torch and get the new. My repair guy has lots of used pipes.

As do I.

I’ve gotten mine off EBay. I have 4 different leadpipes of various lengths due to the trumpets that my students play. If you are playing a pipe of one length and the student’s pipe length is different, then they will not be “in phase” with their pipe (Mr. Adam’s phrase) trying to match your pitch.

The 4 pipes I use from longest to shortest:
Bach Strad reversed leadpipe - 13 1/16”
Bach Strad standard ( this is the most common. Lines up with Yamaha pipes, too.)- 13”
Getzen student line (pretty close to Jupiter in length)-12 3/8”
Bach TR300- 12 1/4”

Of course there are other pipes that are pretty close in length to these. I make the adjustments in pitch so the student doesn’t have to.

If there’s a music store near you that does student rentals and brass repair give them a call. Chances are they’ve got a box full of lead pipes from broken student horns.

Or do the DIY route and go to a hardware store and get a short section of vinyl plumbing tubing that will accept your mouthpiece.

Is that mysterytomastery lead pipe brass?
If it is I think I’ll order that.. I just want to make sure it’s brass like a real lead pipe on a trumpet! Thanks for all the suggestions so far…

mouthpieceexpress.com

Eastman trumpet leadpipe about $30 plus shipping

Student Bach leadpipe about $40 plus shipping

Ebay - they have disassembled trumpets for sale - you can just by the leadpipe for about $45 plus shipping. Just search for trumpet leadpipe.

shopgoodwill.com you can often pick up a used student trumpet for under $45 including shipping. Take it apart yourself.
