Anyone played all of the different Pickett Vizzutti pieces?
I have the Yamaha Vizzutti and like it a lot. It is probably the tiniest bit too shallow for me, but I get a surprisingly good sound on it give just how shallow it is. Very easy to play.
I was thinking about buying the Pickett model, likely either the C1 or the Piccolo model because I think they are very slightly deeper.
Just wondering if anyone can compare the different models to the Yamaha model so I have a point of reference against which to guess about the best one to try? |

I have both the Yamaha and the Pickett. They are pretty much identical and even Al has said that. |

I have both mouthpieces and communicated with both Vizzutti and Pickett Brass about the differences. I don't know if they would be okay with me sharing what they said, so I won't. However, they are definitely not the same.
Here are my thoughts on the two pieces:
The Pickett feels slightly bigger in everyway to me. For example, the diameter feels a tiny bit wider, the cup seems a tiny bit deeper, the throat is between a 27 and 28, and the backbore feels more open.
I have one in mint condition if you would like to buy it. It has a Gold top and the rest is silver. _________________ Bb 8310Z

I wonder how either the Yamaha or Pickett would compare to the Marcinkiewica E12 Vizzutti model. I chopped the top off & made a backbore out of one & it is pure magic for me on my 1.5-ish lead pieces. The sound is a little thin but it just works no matter what. |
