Anyone tried Divitt trumpets, by Canadian maker, Ewan Divitt? There are a couple of reviews of his practice mutes, which are apparently very good, but the last thread about trumpets was from 2017, when he was getting started. |

Haven't seen too many newer vids of them, but I stumbled on this Fabrizio Bosso vid a few weeks ago and it definitely looks like a Divitt. I know he usually plays a G&P Flora, but I really dig his sound here.

No idea about his horns, but he did make me some finger button inlays recently and they came out flawless.
His horns look interesting though. |

Yeah, they’re nice. I have been looking at the Fordite buttons - as a materials scientist with a background in mineralogy I appreciate the irony in the name Also I like the strong colors.
You got me thinking though, opals are also quite interesting from a materials and mineralogy standpoint and have nice colors. Arghhh … _________________ 2019 Martin Schmidt eXcellence

I was at Ewan’s shop today to order a Divitt Trumpet for myself.
Ewan has a few models now and all of them play great. I could have chosen any of the models and think I would have been quite happy.
Ewan took time with me answered all my questions. It was a great experience. He even encouraged me to stay as long as I wanted to try the horns.
If you are looking for a new horn, I would encourage everybody to check out Divitt trumpets. I can’t wait until I get mine!!! |

Did a beautiful job on buttons for my Stage 1. Dino bone inlays. Would highly recommend Ewans work.
I would load a picture if I could figure out how. ☹️ _________________ Heather Kirk

I'm getting a vintage Bach strad and I probably need to get new finger buttons made for that horn once I get it. _________________ Current horns

Here's a link to the Divitt page with sample finger button material and colors. Some cool stuff.
