Saw a post on FB today that Tom Krueger passed away suddenly a couple days ago. No details, but his father (the post I saw) and his sister confirmed it. He was age 57.

Too early. Tom was a good guy. I knew him personally and gave him a few trumpet lessons years ago. We talked trumpet and home audio off and on for several years. I didn't always agree with Tom (I disagreed with him here at times), but he genuinely was a good guy and cared deeply about music and the trumpet. Many of you know that he was our resident Buescher expert/historian for a quite awhile.

RIP Tom!

I'm very sad to hear this. I enjoyed conversing with him on Bueschers and any number of other topics.

I’m very sorry to hear that. Tom was a great guy indeed, very knowledgable and kind. The kindness he’s shown me in the conversations I’ve had with him was truly something else. A great loss to the trumpet community. My thoughts go out to his family. He will be missed.

Rest in peace Tom. I promise to take good care of that ‘fabulous flugelhorn’.

I am surprised at his age. The image I had in my mind had him much older.

That said, I appreciated his contributions to the forum and offer my condolences to his friends and family.

Requiescat in pace

Sorry to hear about Tom's passing.
I remember encouraging Tom to join a community band.
He finally decided to do that and his playing very much improved.
It was a good time talking with him about Buescher trumpets.
I'll miss him.
Charlie

Well, shoot. I remember interacting with him a fair bit about a decade ago when I was more active on TH. I hope he passed in peace and surrounded by loved ones. Thank you for letting us know. So long, friend. Fare thee well.

I too am sorry at his passing, even if I’m writing this somewhat belatedly. 57’s way too young these days.

I always wondered about his moniker “VetPsychWars”

One time he had a Conn trumpet for sale in the marketplace and I emailed him about it. He had already sold it, but he described it’s playing qualities as a “brick with a hole in it.”

Been reading his posts for years, and enjoying his love and knowledge of Beuscher intruments, in particular.

I'm very sad to hear this. I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, but this is far too young. He was a long-term, valuable TH member that will be sorely missed.
