Hi, I got a call to play a 3 week local run of The Color Purple musical. Anybody play it? What can I expect, horns, mutes and mute changes, range, the difficult parts, etc? I already know I’ll need a trumpet and flugelhorn. The pit will be 1 trumpet, 2 woodwinds, 2 keyboards, rhythm section.
