As I've mentioned in previous threads, I'm a comeback player who has previously played in college and a bit after, but has not really touched the horn in any serious way for over 10 years. I've never had great range or endurance and I'm realizing that I need a teacher to potentially re-set my embouchure and get me started (again) with good habits. I've always played off center given the way my teeth are formed and while I know that this is not inherently a bad thing, I want to make sure that the rest of what I'm doing is correct.

My goals as of now are to a) set my embouchure up correctly b) get my breathing working correctly c) build my range and endurance with a goal of having a reliable high C.

I would like a teacher that can set me up appropriately with a good embouchure given my specific anatomy and I would ideally take lessons in person (I'm in San Francisco). The teacher have to be in the city as I can't spend the time driving too far. Given what I want to do, is there anyone in San Francisco that might fit the bill?

How about an online teacher? Are there any that stand out as being good for what I'm looking for? I suspect an in-person would be more effective for this type of work.

Cheers!

I edited the subject and content of the post to better account for what I'm looking for. I would love to hear any specific recommendations if you have them, either in person (San Francisco) or online.

You might reach out to SF Conservatory and see if they have any community lessons programs, and if not contact the trumpet studio directly to see if there's any grad students who are looking for students. They'll be excellent teachers and you'll be supporting a music student still in school.

Thank you for the suggestions! I actually didn't realize Booby Shew gave lessons, that's great.

I will reach out to the conservatory and see who is around and willing. As mentioned, I think I'd prefer an in-person teacher, but the appeal of taking a lesson from Mr. Shew is very appealing. Why not both, I suppose?
