CIM's gone straight to funkytown.

The real concern is not Sachs' decision to leave, but whether the CIM board has chosen a poor path for the future of CIM.

Basically, Sachs left because he felt he was being mistreated, and disagreed with the direction and policies the CIM board seem to have set.

PLAY the next note 'on time' and 'in rhythm'.
Oh ya, watch the conductor - they set what is 'on time'.

As the lyric goes in HAMILTON: “ Have you read this?
You ever see somebody ruin their own life?”

You ever see a a university shoot itself in the foot? CIM’s loss is Philly’s gain

Before we make assumptions, do we know what those policies are?
(And please don't anyone jump to the conclusion that I am pro/con anything or anyone. Just asking.)

Several weeks ago I read the articles about CIM and the Sachs situation, but I don't recall whether there were any details about the 'new CIM direction'.
Only that there WERE some board approved 'direction changes' and that Sachs was publicly vocal in his opposition to the changes.

I view it as a -
if you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen
situation.
--------
About the 'new direction' for CIM (whatever it is), only time will tell.
Probably a LOT will have to do with its current funds, and future fund raising ability. And of course with its ability to maintain itself as a high-quality conservatory.
