You wouldn't want to match that vanity with trumpet players?

Search for "Breitling Watchband Cover" and you will find some OD colored watch covers with a nice Velcro cover for the watch crystal. The enemy will see no tell tale reflections.
Now, during your rest while the clarinet is in the middle of his/her romantic solo - check the time ... |

I would not risk a professional position over a watch, especially a Seiko….hell it’s not like a Patel Philippe Grand Complication.
And I love nice watches, and I have been told to dial back on wearing a luxury watch when meeting with certain clients. |

I was going to offer to trade a trumpet for your watch, but I'm almost positive that the "Patel" Philippe might be a knockoff. I'd look into it haha |

Hi ramado24@clarkston.k12.mi, I noticed you never replied for your original post yet. It would be nice to know what type of ensemble you were playing
in that made such restrictions?
I did play in an ensemble where that style watch would have been not desired. Some years ago I played in an off Broadway show called “1940’s Radio Hour.” The show was a stage production of a WWII era radio show. The big band was on stage, part of the cast, and we were in period dress. A watch like that would have stood out and especially since I had to stand to play solos, “A String of Pearls” comes to mind, and etc. It was a fun show.
I’ll be playing in a production of “The Color Purple” end of the month and was told the band will be on stage for the show. Haven’t heard the dress code yet, but rehearsal in two weeks. I’ll ask about clothes and jewelry.

Does Wynton really wear a Movado? I went out and got one just because of his ads but it didn't help. |

ramado24 wrote in another thread that they're a high school student, so I suspect the group in question is one of the high school bands. |

I used to play in a Civil War reenactment brass band, and wrist watches were a definite no-no… _________________ "Brass bands are all very well in their place - outdoors and several miles away ." - Sir Thomas Beecham |
