Why have I not heard anyone talk about "The Most Epic Trumpet Solo in Cinematic History" I am literally drooling over it. Does anyone have an original recording with video of the players? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lkPRheS_Jo[url]

I watch the YouTube video. The comments are kind of funny. Of course it’s great playing. Watch the end credits. It rarely happens that trumpet players get screen credits but I remember watching the movie around the time I played the musical and Harry Kim and Rick Baptist have screen credits at the end. I don’t think that solo sounded like Harry so my guess is that it is Rick. Both are great players. Harry is on several of the movies with that composer and he’s had screen credits for the other movies with music by the same guy.

There’s one solo in that movie that definitely sounds like Harry. I think it’s super cool to have solos like that in movies where the players get to show their personalities. Often those great players go unrecognized and just do the gig and move onto the next gig.

There needs to be more recognition of those unnamed players.
