Buy it!!!!
The lacquered one a fantastic horn! Easy blowing, perfect slotting, well in tune - really helps you. _________________ Cornets: mp 143D3/ DW Ultra 1,5 C

Could not agree more! I'm hoping to pick up a used "backup" 6335RC in lacquer for myself when someone upgrades to the silver version. |

Love my 6335RC. Easy horn to play "everything" on. I would choose lacquer again as silver tarnishes quickly.
Yamaha is puzzling... adding silver plating now, thereby covering the beautiful two tone yellow and gold brass. My 6335RC still looks new even though it's been used for several hours almost every day for two and a half years. And the 6335RC is still not allowed to be marketed by dealers in North America! _________________ Dave Wisner

I don’t think that’s a reason why most trumpet players buy a particular model.
More than likely it’s because people have strong preferences (especially on the commercial model Yamahas, 8310zII, 8335LAII) with regards to how their lacquer horns play in relation to silver plated models. |
