I travel for a living so I'm constantly in a hotel room. The only way for me to practice is with a practice mute.
I use the Sshh mute and it works great. Very quiet. Definitely my choice.
Although, as with every practice (silencing) mute, it's stuffy. Botton line, you'll never find a mute that takes the place of an open horn; In blow, intonation, etc.
Practice mutes are out of necessity, not choice.
I play local productions so I don't have a choice. I've got to work through the music and keep my chops in shape. Period.
It has not affected my playing when switching to an open horn (when at home or performance) in the least.

I stuffed a throw blanket inside it, and haven't gone near a practice mute since. It's as quiet as you need it to be, with no back pressure. Just restricts your movement obviously.
The Divitt mute is one of the best options for a home practice mute. Intonation is good, blow is not too restricted, and sound is considerably reduced.
Not my favorite for travel simply because it takes up more room in a suitcase than any of my other practice mutes.
I am still a fan of the Wallace Studio Mute. It's like a really soft harmon mute, but fairly free blowing. The Wick is by far my least favorite as it it backs up pretty easily and doesn't give feedback to how you're actually playing.

My wife bought me one of these and does not like to be in the room if I’m practising high range! I’m quite happy with how it plays. I was using a Yamaha original silent brass which tames the high end far more, but isn’t as free blowing. I live in a home where sound is not well tolerated so volume control is my priority. There is certainly no shortage of mutes (and horns and mouthpieces) to choose from.

There really are some impressive practice mutes around. It looks like you have your eyes on some nice ones. While I may be late to the party, I did want to add my thoughts and/or options.
I'm on the road in Hotels four to five nights a week, and for about 8 years or so I've carried the same Wallace Studio practice mute with me. It's not cheap but it is an impressive mute. It has a resistor, which operates a bit like the removable piece of a Harmon mute, but this resistor is small. Still, when removed - I feel no backpressure at all and I've used it 'open' like this in Hotels often. With the resistor in, the mute is extremely quiet and the back pressure is certainly livable, still not bad. I'll attach a vid, it may prove beneficial.

I bought the Mark Hughes mute a couple of years ago.
It's still a practice mute, but when I bought it I liked it more than others I had tried. It's bulky, but it has a plug you can take out to adjust resistance and sound dampening.

My cat loves her one of these lol. I'd never thought of playing a trumpet into it, but I can see how this will work. Very interesting idea!

Actually I could use it during the day and put it out at night for my outside cat.
