I have been playing the Bach 7C and have the best "control" with that mouthpiece. The Rim is a little sharp and I would like to move away from it. I also have a Schilke 12B4 which feels a lot better on the lips but I dont have the same control on either the high or low end.
A friend let me try his Monet B6S1 which seems a little larger than the 7C Bach but I liked it... until I saw how much they cost, even used.
Any alternitives that anyone is aware of? _________________ King Silver Flair 1055T - I'll never sell this horn

I would suggest a Bach 6c. It's roughly the same size as a Bach 7c, but has a more comfortable rim. _________________ Brent |

ABC 4CS in their new line. I have the 3CS which is an older piece but now called the 4cs (I guess they have renamed it... it's confusing but actually the new system makes sense). _________________ Trumpet!!!! I love it! |

Larry, that comparison tool is very cool....amazing thing is how subtle the differences look on the tool but can feel and play so different. _________________ King Silver Flair 1055T - I'll never sell this horn

B6S1 has a very different throat and backbore compared to most brands. If you like that but want a cheaper version look at the AR Resonance pieces, e.g. the MSC. Still expensive but half as expensive.. _________________ Thane Standard Large Bb / Monette Unity B6-7M mpc

If you like the B6S1 but not the price (understandable), consider a Monette Silver Series 6. Same rim and cup, with a slightly smaller throat. This is a very nice mouthpiece. It is still expensive, but not like the B6S1. And sometimes used ones pop up on eBay. That’s how I got mine.
