Does anybody know what this backbore might be, maker, specs?
It has Warburton threads, and is marked Y A CMS
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
-J

Mystery solved. I got some suggestions that it was a Jeff Parke piece, so I messaged Parke and go this reply:
"The CMS (Custom Mouthpiece Shop) logo is Jeff's, from way back in the 1980's, when Jeff had a threading/alteration business. He was a dealer for Bach, Reeves, Schilke and Warburton mouthpieces. He threaded the mouthpieces into components (rims, cups, backbores) so that players could try various combinations amongst the brands.
I'm not sure what the "Y" stands for.
Maybe the backbore came off of a Yamaha mouthpiece?
The only time that I remember an "A" being stamped on a mouthpiece is when we had some annealed (heat treated) brass, and Jeff made some of our models with that brass.
He stamped the letter "A" next to the model number, as a way to designate "Annealed" brass. But that was around 2001, so the mouthpieces would have been stamped "Parke", not "CMS".
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
