Not sure how well known these guys are in the American trumpet world but I just stumbled across this: https://www.facebook.com/RatRodHorns/

Personally, I find this really cool and wish there were more folks in Europe doing stuff like this.

I'm in the USA, and I cannot seem to find Rat Rod Horns via a cursory Internet search.

Like many, I absolutely loathe to use the dreaded Facebook for ANYTHING. (caveat emptor, buyer beware, etc., etc.)
Too many horror stories. Facebook is like an information brothel; they sell your information to any entity that is willing to pay.

Sooo, Brassnose, would you be kind enough to provide us with any OTHER contact information, aside from the dreaded Facebook?

Robert Cordle, one of the two gentlemen who created Rat Rod horns, is active on Facebook. I think that even if you do not have an account on FB you can contact him through the Rat Rod FB page.

I can attest that he does good work - I have a Conn 22b he cut down to a C that plays beautifully. You can't beat the price. Check it out.

Hello all, unfortunately I cannot locate any other info than the Facebook page. I never had a Facebook account myself (what for, anyways?) and still the page shows up and is readable. Maybe this is different in the US?

However, I just found this: https://www.trumpetherald.com/registry.php?task=detail&mid=8021

Not sure, but could be one of the fellas behind Rat Rod.

Harbor freight has powder blasters for $100.00, get some walnut shells and go to town.

No. Not him.
I have corresponded with him.
His name is Robert. New Jersey resident.
He does do nice work, in my opinion.

Maybe (?) you can contact him yourself, and inform that he is using a corrupted platform for his business, and others do not trust it, or use it.
Perfhaps (?) these dudes may want to grow their hobby into something serious and self-supporting ... maybe, even profitable.

Facebook is primarily for/used by grannies wanting to share pics of the grand-kiddos.

Josh Landress is on Facebook. Trent Austin is on Facebook. The Getzen Co. is on Facebook.

It's a legit channel, one of many, for people with a clue about social media to get the word out.

There's also a band called the Cork Sniffers on Facebook. Maybe two. No lie.

I don’t use Facebook, nor any of the social media platforms, but the generations behind us do. And they are the generations driving the economy. A company selling goods like instruments would be negligent ignoring that vast market.

Hahaha! OMG I forgot that guy existed (thankfully). There’s no horn he won’t bead-blast. Someday about 87 trumpeters will all drop dead from a stroke or aneurism the day he blasts a Committee (me being one of them )

A reasonably sane person would merely "google" (or other online search engines) to access those websites you mention.
NOT Facebook.

* BTW -- "cork sniffers" ... are they better or worse than "jock sniffers" ?

You might want to tell Josh, Trent, and Brett to take their useless pages down, then, and not waste your omniscient expertise on an ignoramus such as myself.

I suppose (in your case) I should invoke the 20th Century Austrian-British philosopher, Sir Karl Popper's "Paradox Of Tolerance" .. somewhat paraphrased from Plato.

OR ... our (USA) recent popular social question, "A.I.T.A?" (Am I The A*****e ?)

I am stunned finding myself agreeing with the originally quoted poster on anything, but the reality is that Facebook is the geriatric social media. Just look at what Mike Corrigan has achieved using it as the sole marketing channel for BAC (like running a fantastic opportunity to the brink of oblivion?)

I find Trumpets, trumpeters, Trumpeting and TrumpetMarketplace.com credible, informative and viable. Additionally, there are other organisations and individuals who use this as their basic platform that are viable and credible, and are various home pages of name musicians.

Facebook, as frustrating as some policies and potentials that it is, is viable for a number of individuals and organisations, not just "grannies"..

@ R. Berndt

Thanks ... don't mind the backdoor compliment.
BTW - Just bought your book. Good read. (I am erudite. Have voracious curiosity.)
