I just got a Bach strad and the trumpet case is stamped lower right corner just BACH in like a gold stenciled lettering. Does that mean it was a school or college horn? |

Does the horn itself look legit?
How about posting some pics of the case and the horn? _________________ "He that plays the King shall be welcome . . . " (Hamlet Act II, Scene 2, Line 1416)

Conn Selmer is using at least two cases for new Strads: The standard Bach hard case with the "leather" at either end and the Vincent Bach medallion, and a blue with brown trim "leather" Gard Elite bag that says "Bach" on a strip of leather at the bottom of the bag. I much prefer the Gard Elite bag to the regular case.
If your horn is older, did the seller advertise the case as "OEM" or just that it comes with a case? |

Maybe I'm not making myself clear. I'm not talking about the Bach logo or insignia on thecase, I'm talking about 2 inch stencil print in gold color on older cases in lower right hand corner, almost like a school or college labeling them for their instrument room? |

As others have shared, it is hard to guess what you mean without a photo. (use a https://imgbb.com/) to post a link to the example.
but...
Gold stenciled letter does NOT mean it was a school or college horn unless a school or someone else applied. I'm familiar with the slightly metallic gold stencil called "The Selmer Company" on Bach cases. If my memory is correct, they might have also used "Bach" at one time in the 1990s.

From your original post, the 2 inch stencil printed in gold color says "Bach", correct?
The stenciling I've seen done by a school or college on a horn case has always denoted the name of the school, not the make of the instrument. So, unless the horn was owned by 'Bach University', I don't think the stenciling was done by a school. _________________ "He that plays the King shall be welcome . . . It's a early 90s horn so maybe it's just the way they labeled as you say. It so plain the block lettering in gold BACH. |

Is this a hard case? The one my son’s trumpet came in was a zippered “canvas” case, not the hard case with the leather trim. |

Is it as shown in this post under Bach?
All the best

You are very welcome, but I just cut and pasted a previous poster's comment. I had no idea of this myself.
Take care and best wishes
