Hi, in January I sent a horn to Osmun Music for an estimate and repair. I had no contact from Osmun after the USPS said it arrived. I waited about 2 weeks after they received the horn for a reply about an estimate for the work, heard nothing so I called. Bob said he had the horn and would get to it first thing in March, but was working the shop alone. Seems his personnel had left his business. After mid March I called again, no answer and the mailbox is full. I emailed, no reply. Since then I have emailed several times and called weekly and still no answers.

Is Bob OK? Is he still there working and just not answering the phone or emails? Can somebody local check up on Bob and the shop? I’d like to get my horn back and I’m now planning an 800 mile journey to get my horn after graduation. Any info would be appreciated. I did contact Jim (not Becker) a couple of weeks ago, but at this point it seems to be a mystery.
Thanks, Dave

As of today, osmun.com website says:

"The shop will be closed from April 12 through April 24."

This is different from the last archived page of osmun.com from December 2023:

Since 2022, James Becker has been working for Yamaha:

After 25 years working side by side with Jim Becker, Bob and I parted ways in December. I started New England Brassworks, LLC in Nashua, NH. We have a great team in place, and are continuing with custom repairs, including blueprinting and PVAs. Valve rebuilds coming soon. We are delivering the excellence and solid communication that our customers had come to expect. If there is anything we can help with, please do not hesitate to contact me!
