I have recently acquired a made in France f. Besson Brevete (sn 101xxx) and I am about to send it off to be made "as new". I notice that my mouthpiece fits much further into the receiver on this trumpet than on any of my other horns..all vintage and all other makes. Is this normal? Is it a problem that has developed from wear? Will it cause a problem and should I have the receiver replaced? Any help much appreciated as I would like to get this off to Kanstul asap. Thanks. kpb |

Thanks Scott. The receiver doesn't show any signs that it is excessively worn, but, I thought I'd get accurate info before i sent it for refinishing. I very much like this trumpet. Decided to spend some real $$ on it. We shall see, but I think it's going to be a winner. Thanks again. _________________ Conn 6B
