Oh I know. It is used as an attention getter. I did say not all are junk. Many are, and like all junk on eBay, are out to get the unsuspecting. I have seen many music stores (and Alex) do it too. It is not a bad marketing tool -- that is why the junk sellers do it a lot. I don't think it is an "incredible admission" -- just a simple observation. Of course I understand why you would want to stick it to Alex, but instead you helped the hype by pointing out the ad.
Can I make one thing VERY CLEAR.
I sell ZeuS instruments because I believe in them. They are great instruments. I am not Alex nor am I Alex's apologist. If you want to say "Jim said" and "Alex said" and think that we are the same voice, you are mistaken. I am a ZeuS dealer -- selling what I believe are some of the best horns made. My customers so far have been delighted with the horns. I am not in charge of marketing or distribution, no more than the local store is in charge of Bach's advertising.
I will mentioned the facts and opinions about ZeuS. I will refrain from hyperbole. It was said in a previous thread that civility would be nice -- and I agree. I don't think I need to use hyperbole because quite frankly, the ZeuS horn is excellent. You may have trouble with Alex's marketing, but as a designer of horns, he has done a magnificent job. I have not talked to a man who knows more about trumpets than Alex. But I am not Alex.
