I ws wondering if there are any mouthpieces that make it more difficult for success with TCE.

I'm sure that Mr. C would say that most mouthpieces hold a player back. In his words, "they [mouthpiece makers] are going in the wrong direction." In my opinion, the #1 thing to avoid would be an overly large throat. Something in the 26 range is probably OK, 28 even better. Beyond that, stay with a cup in the Bach 7 or smaller range, shallow in the Bach E range, and not too sharp on the rim. Curently, the most "approved" piece is the Weril W46. I use it myself and have been very, very pleased with its sound. But, there are plenty of successful SC on other pieces that also follow the very rough guidelines of above. Best regards, Kyle
