I play hack! I'm not that great, but I always have a hacky sack with me.

gosh i love the hack. too bad people here are all about ultimate frisbee. you walk around campus and you will find millions of people playing frisbee. but you never see anyone with a hacky sack. it is so frustrated. _________________ "All music is folk music. You could say I've got varying degrees of distractedness in my case. I've got an iPod for the gigs that I don't really ever play in (but get paid for just sitting). I've also got a PDA for making schedule changes and playing quick games of solitaire during a Tacet mvmt. I've got a magazine that i've probably read 30 times....and a book I've read prbably three times. Sometimes you can find beers or a flask in my case
My quintet used to have to play the graduation ceremonies at my school, so we always had toys in our cases. One quarter noone had toys, so we used credit cards and played frisbee golf with them.....sooooo bored. |

In my strads case there's really nothing odd. In my TR300s case there's a lacquer polishing cloth that I've used maybe 3 times since I've got it. I don't know if that qualifies for being weird though.... _________________ You can have oodles of technique, but if you've got no tone, it's not going to be attractive to the person hearing it. In my case I have:
An adjustable wrench to fix all those crappy stands that fall apart.
A french horn mouthpiece because you never know when you might be asked to play french horn.
A bunch of sax reeds, because you never know when you'll be asked to play sax.
Tuner, metronome, mouthpieces...
Oh and a Selmer trumpet lyre that attaches to the lead pipe because you never know when you have to do some marching. |

I am quite pleased that my case is fairly empty of odd things at the moment - the joys of an evening in prison meant that the case was searched as I entered the building - not sure I could explain some of the things that have been in there in the past. |

But we'd love it if you were to try to explain why you spent the night in jail. _________________ RJM

A&D Diaper rash ointment. It makes really great slide grease. Seriously. People have seen it and wondered, but it really does work. Also helps after a night of beer and hot wings. Not really. |

Not much weirdness now. I did at one time have a rather large batman action figure hanging out of the music compartment of my quad...to alot of giggles from others walking behind me! |
