I recently heard a recording of the Moisei Vainberg Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra in B flat major, Op. 95 and I am looking for the sheet music to it. Does anyone know where I can find it? I am also looking for another recording other than the one I have.

You didn't mention which recording you have so it's hard to know what to recommend. I'd go with the Timofei Dokshizer recording though. Also his publication of it on the Editions Marc Reift label. I'll dig the specs up for you.

Had to do some digging around.

Dokshizer's recording is available on two labels. One, quite rare actually, that I have is on the Russian Disc label, titled "Vainberg" RD CD 11 006.

The other, on Marcophon, is called, "Poeme" and the CD number is CD 916-2. You can find this CD at Tap Music:

The music is available from the Timofei Dokshitser Collection on the EMR (Edition Marc Reift) label. The catalog number is EMR 650. This is available at Solid Brass Music:

http://www.sldbrass.com

Note the spelling on the Reift is "Wainberg." I think they have the opus number incorrect too, but that's the right tune.

Good luck,

I listened to the the recording of Bibi Black with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra. The cd is entitled Soviet Trumpet Concertos and is put out by Chandos. Not the best recording but I wanted to at least hear it. Thank you very much for the info!!

Sergei Nakariakov recorded it on From MOscow With Love. It's much better than the black recording.
