In an effort to garner feedback, an upcoming trumpet method book is available for free online. Although the text hasn't been edited for syntax and spelling errors, the full edition of Sound the Trumpet: How to Blow Your Own Horn is available for free until mid-November. Get one while you can.....
go to www.sol-ut.com and follow the links.

Jon, I dl'd the book and was going to print it so I can work on it offline, but printing is not available. I assume you did this for copy protection reasons, but it is very difficult to study ONLY on computer. _________________ el Extranjero de la tierra extraña |

Yeah, it's too bad we couldn't print out the book---but I understand wanting to protect his work.
This book is great and I wish I would have had one like it many years ago when I started. I can't recall seeing another method book that has the info that this one has. A lot of young players on this site could benefit from this book and a lot of questions they have would be answered.
So, if you're just starting out on the trumpet, I'd recommend buying the book when it's available......... _________________ There are two sides to a Trumpeter's personality: There is the one that lives only to lay waste to the woodwinds and strings, leaving them lying blue and lifeless along the swath of destruction that is a trumpeter's fury.
