I've seen in some reviews of horns they mention the finish quality. In none of the reviews there were any negative comments concerning said finish. Is it really possible to find a badly finished horn? I've never seen a horn with obviously bad plating/lacquering, is my eye just untrained?
Thanks,

It's nearly impossible to tell right off the bat, unless you bought a horn offa ebay from india thats half plated!! But on my older yamaha 4335 (15 years) the plating is starting to wear off and then peel between the 2nd and 3rd slides. It started to peel off like aluminum foil! So i guess the quality of the plating is how long it lasts too. |
