Very nice. He says he won't go below $3,600 each, do you think he'll get it?

Probably so.... I think those things are over 4K brand new and they still look like they're in very good condition.

I absolutly hate when sellers list a horn as "no Bach" "no Yamaha" or any combination of other names. I know it is to list their horn whan somebody does a search for a Bach or Yamaha but it just erks me to no end.

I could be mistaken, but I could have sworn somebody posted an auction a while ago (maybe a month or less) with those same pictures in it.

WaxHaX0rS, I also recall seeing those photos, I just assumed that the sale didn't take place for some reason.

I know the seller personally since we went to the same university and played in some of the same groups. He has been trying to sell these horns for a while now, so you probably saw some of his eariler auctions.

Geri, if he's selling such nice horns, what does he play now? Does he need the cash to buy a Monette?

That would have been my question too. Where do you move on to after gold plated Blackburns? Perhaps 10 or so Bach Strad's?

I think somewhere in his listing is NEW Baby - which sucks up money fast. Probably a guy that saved and bought great horns and is now realizing that he needs money for the real world. I notice he is also pursuing a career in construction management. Unless you are amazingly good or are willing to teach it is hard to make a living as a trumpet player. The really successful ones are part of pretty small fraternity. I wish I had the money to buy a Blackburn.

I've not talked with him in a few years, but in one of the auctions he mentions that he'll be moving to use only Yamaha and Bach trumpets. There are a lot of trumpet players around Knoxville that play on Blackburn instruments since Cliff's shop is so close.
