I'm a freshman in high school, and i want to go into either music education or performance. There is this academy that my family would like me to go to, called the Hartford Academy of the Arts. It runs for the second half of a school day- 1-4ish. The music department specializes in jazz, and i would also learn music theory, keyboarding, and then i would have one elective (like dance, art, writing, etc etc). Its really a great facility. here's the site:

My question is, do you think it would be worth going to? Thanks!!! |

Howdy.
Well I took a look at the school and If you're going to do it to gain knowledge in theory and music in general I think it's a great idea. The problem I had is it doesn't have a trumpet facutly and it seems more geared to the wind, string and voice development. However beside that point it looks really good.
best of luck! |
