I am looking for the rounded Bach Strad tuning slide for my LT 180. ML with #25 lead pipe and #43 bell. Where can I find one?
Thanks.

If you cannot find one on Ebay, you might check out Rich Ita in Atlanta. He comes across used parts quite often. http://www.brassinstrumentworkshop.com

Any Bach dealer can order a new one, but it might take awhile to get it...worth checking into, though. I have no idea how much a new one would cost.

Finally, if you would consider another option, check out a Blackburn rounded tuning slide. They run $200 according to the website, http://www.blackburntrumpets.com I have tried one out (a friend has one), and I liked it very much -- better than the Bach rounded slide in a direct A/B comparison.

Good Luck

Your local music store which carries Bach horns should be able to get one for you. Or you could try Giardinelli. If I recall correctly, one of their recent hardcopy catalogues shows that they carry specialized Bach parts like this or could at least order one for you.

Try before you buy! I picked up a Bach stock rounded slide for my LT/LR180 and noticed a considerable difference in the blow. It's much more open but you have to watch your intonation, slotting is a bit less accurate and with your 43 bell it will make the sound even a little bit more brighter than original. Great for Jazz Band and combo but , in my opinion, just not tight enough for orchestral. Don't quite remember but I think I paid between $65-$75 brand new for mine. Hope this helps.
