What version of Carnival of Venice do you think is the hardest?

Thanks
Matthew

I would say Allen Vizzutti's Carnival of Venus, at least that's the hardest one I've seen!!

Ditto on the Vizzuti version. Goes up to double C in the opening lick, all kinds of wide interval double tongueing throughout and ends on a high F. Sounds great when he does it.

I BELIEVE THAT THE HARDEST VERSION OF THE CARNAVAL OF VENICE IS ARBAN'S FOR SURE. ARBAN FOCUSES ON ALL TECHNIQUES. ALLEN VIZZUTI'S CARNAVAL OF "VENUS" HAS SOME OF THE ORIGINAL'S THEME BUT IS NOT THE "TRUE" CARNAVAL OF VENICE, EVEN THE NAME SAYS IT "VENUS" NOT "VENICE".
PERSONALLY I THINK ARBAN'S IS THE HARDEST COMPARE TO DEL STAIGERS, OR CLARKE'S.

i saw chuck seipp of the army band perform a version where every variation was done on a different keyed horn, with the final variation played on Bb with a puppet on his hand, allowing it to be played with only one finger. it followed the arban version. oh, and he juggled tennis balls between themes.
