Where can I get a BAch rounded tuning slide?
One place told me $120 bucks and then it might need to be fitted.
I will be needing it for my BAch 43 70's vintage with the ml bore. |

If you can go to $200, you might want to try Blackburn. It may sound pricey, but the money I spent for a Blackburn leadpipe for my pic was just about the best investment I ever made. If I were in the market for a rounded main tuning slide, I would give Blackburn serious consideration! |

Thanks.I was looking at the Blackburn.
Is is oversize and require hand fitting when it comes or is slightly undersized and all I need to do is have it flared a bit?
Doubtful its just a drop in part? |

I have already told you once, try the Zeus Guarnerius if you like Bach. It is twice the horn and for $1100.00, you can have one with a rounded tuning slide. You need to go to Zacharymusic.com and check these horns out. If you don't try the horn it will be your loss. The Zeus horns are about to make an impact on the trumpet world that will freak some conservative trumpeters out. You can get these horns in raw brass, brushed lacquer, silver, lacquer, brushed silver, etc...
Try one, if you don't like it you can send it back. But, you wouldn't send it back and you won't look like every other trumpet player whose mom bought them their horn in high school.

yep, wrong forum! My bad!!! It's still very useful info though.
Trumpet_mom if you could please tell me where you are trying a Zeus G from.
I'm sure that you will not be let down. Whatever expectations you have already of the horn will be surpassed once you play it. It's an awesome horn! |

Camel Lips ... I'm pretty sure http://www.wwbw.com has them although I can only find Rounded C slides, but I know Giardinelli has them ... you'll just need to tell them you have a ML bore standard weight horn ....
http://www.giardinelli.com/srs7/sid=040320174619068226152122924063/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/465730/
That slide will fit a standard 37 ML and 72 ML as well.
Giardinelli has them for $99.99 and includes shipping. You probably won't find much better for a brand new tuning crook.
Hope this helps, _________________ Bb - Yamaha Xeno 8335RGS
