I will be wanting some lessons while I am in NY for a while and I was referred to Chris Bubolz, who apparently plays in the Met. Opera Orchestra.
Anybody know him or had lessons with him?

Chris is a heck of a player and a good guy.
I worked with him last week.
He played first trumpet on the gig, with no rehearsal.
It was an emergency situation. He nailed it.
And...............he lives in Brooklyn!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely give Chris a call! He's a hell of a player/teacher. I went to school with Chris...Oh the stories I could tell. But he has ample ammo on me with which to return fire, so Ill just keep my yapper shut.
He also lurks around this board, but Ill let him reveal his true identity, if he so desires.

Thanks guys. I had heard great reports just wondered what other experiences there were.
Wilmer,
What is significant about him living in Brooklyn? What part of Brooklyn does he live in?
Ron

I was making a bad joke.
Brooklyn is THE place to live these days.

There are mansions in this Boro.
I live in Ditmas Park, not far from Brooklyn College.

Chris is a fine young player, but is not a member of the Met opera orchestra. He has subbed with us though.
