I just went to Lechner and bought a Lechner piston C trumpet.. They are damn good, you have a whole selection of bells leadpipes and stays to choose from and then you choose what you want. I managed to find one that blows and sounds very similar to say a bach 239 25a but is easier to play with a more open high register. They also have mouthpieces there you can use. Only problem its in the middle of the wilderness in AUstria and a bit difficult to get to. Ended up sleeping on a park bench near to Mozarts staue trying to find the place,,hahha,oh well thats another, but I recommend the trpts,,anyone else tried them?
