"With the following promulgation of sagacious erudition, the genius artisan, Dr. Vincent Bach, manifested his vision into a corporeal reality and established a level of world class mastercrafted trumpets that to this day serve as the exemplar of the world's finest brass... timeless...beautiful...and truly stunning in every regard... Paul,
It sounds like a snake oil salesman or W.C. Fields. I get second dibs.

I guess I don't know a lot about the older Bach horns. What is it about these pair of trumpets that have drawn the negative comments? Are they fakes? The seller's rating doesn't appear to be that bad.

Is it the fact that this guy is using "big" words or has he done something personally to you?
Is there something about the listing that is not true?

OK...Out of respect for the moderators and this great site, I won't comment about this particular seller, with whom I have had dealings. The horns look pretty. The wording of the ad is pretty. The photography is pretty. Some old Bach horns are pretty. Some old Bach horns play pretty. My money looks pretty in my pocket, and will stay there this time. _________________ Craig Mitchell |

I like the Bach mouthpieces they apparently come with . . . _________________ Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and it annoys the pig. |

Looks like someone is in love with their thesarus....or prepping for SAT's? This is a singularly ostentatious verbosity!!!!!

These same horns have been listed before and I believe when people asked questions about them, his responses weren't too nice. (didn't he also sell them the first time??) |

I wouldn't personally bid where the UserID of the bidders are kept private. This is just my personal thing, and it would not matter who the seller is.
It is easy to set up a Yahoo user, by the way, so you can review the "ebay seller comments" group mentioned above.

Well, as anticipated. The seller has ended the auction early due to a "error in the listing". I think the auction was almost up to $3,000.00 when I last checked with under 20 hrs to go. Gee, he almost made it to the end!

And he will likely contact the few REAL bidders and sweet talk them into sending him $$$$, for which he'll send some inferior horn! _________________ Craig Mitchell |

This shouldn't have surprised anyone who follows his auctions. He has already contacted a friend of mine about an offer outside of Ebay.
He claimed it to be an offer he shouldn't pass up with a "money back guarantee" if he didn't like the horns. _________________ Bb - Yamaha Xeno 8335RGS

I did not want to tell you this but upon further research this is a valve section that someone put a bell on and then fabricated the stamp. I am sorry but Bach Mt vernon trumpets where not made this late. This is an early Elkhart that had the bell changed and a false stamp which a repairman with any reasonable skill can make. |
