Hi there,
Has anyone heard of slightly shortening their 3rd valve slide (closest to the 3rd valve) and lengthening their 1st valve slide (closest to the 1st valve) for intonation tweeking?
I've heard that Phil Smith had this type of thing done to his C trumpet. I'm assuming it was to raise his 2/3 combinations (Eb / Ab) and not make his first space Es, As, etc. so high.
Just curious,
AFH

I've heard of this but don't know much about it .... I also have heard of shortening the 1st valve slide as well for the A's. _________________ Bb - Yamaha Xeno 8335RGS
