Very cool looking horns. The valve system and interchangeable bells are interesting. Dang, if I had a million yen I'd buy one of these right now!

I believe there were a few TH threads on these horns some months ago. I'd do a search and see what you find.

Seems like all these "NEW" ideas were inspired by MONETTE.

Am I right about this or am I missing something?

Mork... you are missing something. Check http://www.eclipsetrumpets.com . That tuning system is NOT used by anyone else.... kind of a solid mounted, but tuneable bell.

Since I've had mine only about 6 hours, 5 of which I was out of the house, I can't tell you much about the playing characteristics except to say it's very accurate.

And Monette apparently was inspired by Romeo Adaci, a german brass instrument designer who claims to have been the first to come up with heavily braced horns.

Aioli is an italian garlic mayonnaise, BTW.
