I have a King 600 student trumpet. I love this horn even though it is a student model. Anyways, I am looking for a first slide trigger assembly but I cannot find one from anywhere. Does anybody know where I can buy one of these or have one custom made. I have a trigger on my Bach Strad 43 and I like the feel of the trigger better than the saddle.
Thanks,
Dusty

Most repair shops can get them without a problem. They may have them in stock. If not they can order them from Allied. You may need to be a repair shop or a music store to order from them I don't know. Maybe someone out there knows.

A good tech should be able to install one. I had one put on my King SilverTone cornet a number of years ago. It works fine.
Good luck,

Philip:
Interesting that you felt is was necessary to add the trigger to your Silvertone. I've contemplated adding one to mine but concluded that the intonation on low D's and C#'s is so close to being right on that it isn't necessary.
I also wanted to assure Dusty that most repair guys have enough little odds and ends lying around that they can cobble something together without needing factory-supplied parts. I've had triggers installed on two horns for which factory triggers weren't available. _________________ John Haysom
