I have recently noticed that my 3rd valve slide makes a slight hissing/ bubbling noise, and bubbles sometimes appear, when pressure is built up. ( due to either pulling or compressing the slide) Is this normal? ecspecially the bubbles, they are just annoying, since its mixed with oil, it gets on my hand. Is their any way I can check for a leak? Thanks for any help you can give.

If the bubbles appears near a joint it could be they missed in their soldering. I've seen this MORE than a few times...on cheaper horns AND pro-quality instruments.

If it is leaking around the slide where it goes into the stationary tubing the slide can be "streched" a little by a tech to make it fit better or perhaps just a little thicker slide grease. If it is leaking at a coupling this is a job for a tech. Mark _________________ Calicchio Studio 2
