Anybody played one of these suckers? How do they play? Thinking about getting one to try, but I don't know if I should bother. They look like they're nice horns, but then again, so do those litle Indian things you see on ebay. Thanks for the tips!

For $700.00 to $800.00 you can pick up a used Yamaha C on ebay. It will play in tune and have good response. Why mess the Jupiter? They're new line of Bb's play ok for the money, but when you start looking at smaller horns, the usual problems become accentuated, so get a good horn if you want to be successful.

Jupiter has improved their instruments a great deal over
the last few years, The valves are much better now (nickel plating).
I havent played a "C" but I have payed their B -flats.
Very decent horns, great price on WWBW. or Giardinelli.
I would buy one if I wanted a "C" trumpet. But I'm not in the market for one. |

I agree with txtrpt, Jupiter now makes excellent horns. _________________ Schilke '60 B1 -- 229 Bach-C/19-350 Blackburn -- Lawler TL Cornet -- Conn V1 Flugel -- Stomvi Master Bb/A/G picc -- GR mpcs
