How does one arrange a visit to the Selmer factory in Elkhart? I would like to try out the many different Strad variations. |

You could try out the different variations at Woodwind and Brasswind, Dillons or Washington Music Center. I am sure they give factory tours but I don't know if they have a showroom for you to try horns. If you do go you should try to call someone over at Conn V1 factory and tour their facility. Why don't you just call the offices in Elkhart and ask. All they can do is say no.

Mike,
I did send an email some time ago, but did not receive a reply. Does Brasswind carry most of the different variations of each model with quantities of each?

Yes, they do. However, their showroom is not located at their warehouse (different building). They also have a limit of three horns at a time. So if you catch them at a busy time, it can be difficult to try as many horns as you would like. I recommend calling them and finding out when is the best time. I suspect it would be a weekday morning, as soon as they open.
Cheers,
