Hey guys. I've got a new valve oil for all of you to try out. It's called Bell's Super Lube. It was designed by a UNT student. It's good stuff. His website is http://www.bellssuperlube.com. I know him, but not personally, so this isn't me plugging a buddy's product. I use it at my job (fanfares at Medieval Times) and we play on some pretty bad Yamaha herald trumpets. The valves are in pretty bad shape, lots of pitting, wear, etc., and we tried several things that didn't work. His valve oil really helped, and I use it on my own horns, as well. You guys should take a look.

The price is only $1.50. That seems pretty reasonable.

Hmm, I'm thinking of buying one to check it out. Is it better than Zaja oil though? I mean that stuff has insane valve action. And the bottle lasts a looong time. As of right now, Zaja has got me hooked, but i might just try this once to see how it is...

One bottle has lasted four trumpet players and three trumpets with regular playing several months. It comes with a spray applicator, and that helps conserve the oil, also.

You guys got me thinkin' on this and just for giggles I picked up a small spray applicator from the local dollar store. I made up my own oil formula awhille back and now I'll see if it will last even longer with spray application. The applicator has a small spray area so I don't think I'll be wasting much if any at all!

I wonder if this new valve oil will really work as long as Zaja.
