Is it true that the WB1600 is supposed to be the "Kanstulization" of Bergeron's Bach 72*? Seems like I have read that before, but I am not exactly sure where I read it.

It's true. Wayne worked with Zig Kanstul and basically modified a Bach 25-O 72. The modifications are in the lead pipe and hardware.

I can only add to jettone's post . . . that I find the 1600 to be the Bach 72/25-O that Bach wishes they could build.
It's a really fine trumpet . . . and plays much better above that High Ab (above High C) "ceiling" that most trumpets have . . . an area Wayne knows extremely well!
