About a year ago I´ve bought a warburton 3D Ft. Lauderdale tp. mp on ebay which I did not use very often. Now after having tried a bach 1b for about three weeks and having dismissed it (the rim is too sharp for me) I started playing the 3D again with a #10 underpart and everything works better (rounder tone - better range - much better feel on the lips).
I cannot find this special type of mp in the warburton booklet. So does anybody have an idea what´s the difference between a normal 3D and a 3D Ft. Lauderdale?
Thank for your replies.
Andreas

The Ft. lauderdale was made when Terry lived in Ft. Lauderdale. When he moved he changed the name stamp. He did change the look of the piece a little also after he moved.... maybe new cutters or something.

I believe so. I play on a Ft. Lauderdale 8s top with a newer KT bb and the threads match.

I heard (<--keyword) that the threads didn't match and they changed when Terry moved to his current location. Guess that's the last time I believe an ebay ad .

They are the same threads. I did have a little problem with one or two backbores not screwing in all the way but KT just ran a thread cutter in a time or two and no more problems.
