When I was in high school I did some work in Stamp's method . Now that I am older and.... well just older with less hair. I would like to revisit some of his ideas. I would really like to do it with the help of someone. How around Philly is really sound in Stamp's Teaching. _________________ Bb Yamaha YTR 8335R 20th Anniversary

Hmm, I don't know specifically of any players there who are familiar with Jimmy's stuff.
I would suggest you contact David Bilger - principal in the Orchestra. I'm sure he has some familiarity with it but might know someone in the area who is fully-versed in the Stamp approach.

For the dude in Philly, i know it might be hard to get there, but at oberlin conservatory, the teacher is roy poper and he studied with stamp from the time he was 16 until stamp died. He was my teacher and is one of the best out there.

Roy also wrote a rather definitive text describing and applying Stamp's ped to daily practice. |
