Greetings, I play trumpet in a Navy Band and was recently transferred to Naples, Italy. I haven't studied privately for about 6 years, since I graduated from Northern Illinois Univ. I am at a point in my practice that I feel the need to find a good teacher. So here I am living in Italy, and btw LOVING it, and I don't really know where to begin. I'm really looking for a teacher here in Italy to study with on a regular basis. However, I'm also looking for someone to consult with once or twice a year. In this case I wouldn't be limited to staying in Italy. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I went to see John Mohan (the Claude Gordon forum moderator in Berlin) he does a crash course over a weekend in the CG method. I live in the U.K and found it very beneficial visiting him

You might find out who is playing in the local symphony...I'm not sure if it exists, since they closed the radio orchestra in Naples. There is a good chance that there are English speakers in the trumpet section, that is, Americans or English people. If you speak Italian, Giuseppe Bodanza, in Milan (La Scala Orchestra) is an excellent player. You might look him up.
