I was just wondering if anyone has played this chart, and if so, are the Maynard Solos written in, or are they just chord progressions?

Thanks for the help

It's been a while since I played it but I think Maynards stuff is written in. I know for sure the first chorus of Diblasio's solo is there.

Well, the melodic parts are written in accurately...but where he starts doing all the scribbly horsey stuff (sorry Maynard fans), the chart has something slightly different notated (I think just a held note).

Chris

PS...you should check out another Diblasio Chart "Jalapeno Dreams....reaaally fun tune!

I've always wondered how Diblasio notated the part on the album where MF glissed from the high G down an octave, then back up again. Then I heard John Chudoba play MF's part on this tune at Stratospheric, and he just held a high G for the two bars, so I imagine that's what's actually written and MF must have done his own thing. This matches Flugel-me's description of the chart, too.

Hi the solo is written in as MF plays it but not
what he does at the ending, and there is no chords either.
