Hello I am an orchestral player who plays mostly orchestral music. I use a Curry 1 BC mouthpiece. I have to play some pops concerts that have some big band style things in it. Which mouthpiece could I se that would not be too shallow but at the same time give me a little more zing then darkness.

any cross over mouthpiece that is medium shallow. the pops players i have seen use something like 1M. but theres others who play with leadpieces and others in C cups, sometimes in B cups. the warburton and curry mouthpieces seem popular for this. _________________ ***If you don't try there's a 100% chance you'll fail*** |

I'll second the Curry 1M suggestion. The rim will be the same as your current mouthpiece but the shallower cup and tighter backbore will give you the sound you're looking for. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing. |
