My work is sending me to London for my first time ( I think my last for many years to come ).

Anyway I would like to go and visit some shops to check out some trumpet stuff.

Any suggestion?

Another question, is Eclipse near London?. I would like to try a trumpet by them. I think that is the closest chance to try one in the next 20 years.

Regards.

Eclipse is about an hour(?) north in Dunstable. http://www.eclipsetrumpets.com . Ring Leigh up ahead of time and maybe he'll pick you up at the train. Take your bankbook.

If Eclipse is too far out (which it CAN'T be - you owe it to yourself to go up and see Leigh) there is always Phil Parkers - 106a Crawford Street - the untidiest brass shop in the world, but there is often some good stuff in there.
When are you over here?
Let us know - those of us in the UK might be able to catch up with you somewhere - beer is always a good thing to try over here

Thanks for the quick reply.

As far as I know I'll be in London from 29 November to December 4th.

I would like to met some THers there. I will have the full schedule soon,
so perhaps we can meet.

It is a long trip from Argentina.

I'll be madly trying to get into music college during that time, so I won't be around.

However, if you're into jazz I think you'll catch the London Jazz Festival - lots of stuff going on. If not, check out some of the great orchestras we have here!

Definitely check out Parkers, and see Leigh if you can!

Hi Gus

I will be in Norway 26th November and returning on the 29th November, so if you would like to come up to see us then just try and avoid these days if you can.

Of course the workshop will be open and people there to help you, but it would be nice to meet you myself perhaps.

We are not that far from London, about 35 mins on the train from the major train stations in London.

If you arrange in advance i will have you picked up at the station closest to our workshop (just as Jack pointed out)

Best Wishes

Leigh
