Hi All,

This conjures up some nasty visual images and no, I didn't make it up. Head on over to the Cornet Site - www.cornetsite.nl to see it for yourself. The site appears to be very well set up but underutilised. Perhaps Trumpetmike hasn't discovered it yet?
I am quite sure that the combination of Britslang and a typo wasn't picked up by the Dutch moderator.

I'll bet there are some who are wondering how I may tactfully respond on a public forum to your query.
In Britslang a "fag" is a cigarette and a "fairy" is a gay.
In Yankslang a"fag" is a gay and a "queen" is a fairy.
I believe that Winston Churchill once described Britain and the United States as "Two great nations divided by a common language"
I hope this clarifies the post.
Pity the poor Canucks who have to interpret both.

Brian

I currently have twice as many posts on the TheCornet Site as Trumpetmike has. This will be rectified in short time, I have no doubt

And somebody who walks up to a stranger in Soho and says "Hi, I'm Randy" is going to get one cross-eyed look!
