Although sized the same, aren't Schilke and Yamaha rims different?

I really like the rim on my DT10. The rim is rounded and very smooth. It just doesn't have the more traditional "bite" that I find on the other mouthpieces I've tried.

The most COMFORTABLE rim I've ever played on was off a Reeves 40 Series. However, comfortable isn't always what works best! The rim that I FUNCTION best on is a Warburton 6 Series.

Surprisingly enough since I can't stand them now, Monette 1-1 rims are still my favorite.

I voted Schilke/Yamaha, but I don't really like the Schilke rims. I do however, find the yamaha 4 rims to be the most comfortable I've played on by far.

Monette B1-1 most comfortable rim hands down. Feels like playing on a cushion, I love it. Just wish they made that rim as a lead piece.

The most comfortable mouthpiece in my collection must be the Canadian Brass signature collection one. It's really comfy to play with.

It is a toss up here but I really love the rim I had on an old monette that I had back in the day, and an old Bach 3C that I have had for some time that I need to get replated.

Another vote for Bach .. old Bach that is... I play on an old 3C. It also needs to be replated. I also got a Schilke 15B on order right now (close the old Bach 3C I'm told, plus I want to try a Schilke).

I think the most comfortable rim I ever played was the Monette 1-1 series. Even though it was more comfortable, I prefer my Bach 1C rim.

What's comfortable is what works. GR 65.6M Love it!

I played a Jettone 3B(with a 22 throat!) that felt like a pillow but I like a sharper rim.

Tried out a B&S Challenger I today. The 7C clone that came with it had the most fantastic rim I ever felt!
